Kawhi Leonard said that his surgically repaired right knee is feeling “good,” though he and the Los Angeles Clippers are still being cautious about his recovery.
“I feel good. Just been taking my time, getting stronger and getting ready,” said Leonard on Saturday.
Leonard underwent a procedure on his knee last May.
Leonard added that he and the team have yet to plan on how to deal with back-to-back games.
“We’re just taking it slow, day by day and just trying to get me back on the floor. Once those conversations come, we’ll see what they’re talking about,” said Leonard.
Leonard has appeared in 52 and 68 games the past two seasons.
This year could also come with a slight change in his style.
“I probably ran like top five most miles per game last year or top 10. And that was coming off [a] torn meniscus [in the 2023 playoffs]. So we got to see if that’s beneficial for me or not,” said Leonard.
