James Harden passes Ray Allen for No. 2 on all-time three-pointers made

LA Clippers star  James Harden moved into a tie with Hall of Famer Ray Allen for second place on the NBA’s career made 3-pointers list in a loss to the Houston Rockets on Friday night. Harden now has 2,973, well behind Golden State’s Stephen Curry, who entered Friday night with 3,779. Harden entered the game three behind Allen, who played 18 seasons. He made 3 of 6 attempts in the first quarter to tie Allen but missed three more attempts the rest of the way. He didn’t play in the fourth with Houston up by 19 entering the quarter. -via ESPN / November 16, 2024

James Harden pushed himself even higher in the history books, as he overtook Kevin Garnett on the NBA all-time scoring list. Harden needed 21 points to become 19th player on the list, and he did just that, dropping 22 with 8 assists in a statement Clippers win. With 26.072 points under his belt, Harden is now chasing John Havlicek, sitting in 18th place with 26.395 points, 323 more than Harden has. This season, Harden averages 20.9 points, 9.2 assists, 7.7 rebounds, and 23.8 EFF, playing all 9 games for the Clippers. -via BasketNews / November 9, 2024

There were no such concerns for Ray Allen Tuesday as he got introduced on the walk out to the court for the festivities. And he looked at home in the dressing room that had undergone a serious renovation and reconfiguration since he last played here. He chatted with the New Guys and greeted a reporter with golf talk.
