The Clippers moved to 2-0 in the Emirates NBA Cup play back on Friday with a win over Dallas in overtime.
Led by James Harden, who had his best performance on the court as a Clipper, the team made history in the win against Dallas. Harden had 41 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists to lead the Clippers in the win against the Mavericks.
Harden recorded his 82nd career triple-double and his eighth as a Clipper, moving him into sole possession of the franchise record.
James Harden, who is 36, came up big for the Clippers, who lost 6 in a row heading into Friday’s NBA cup game against the Mavericks.

In the 2nd OT of the game against Dallas, James Harden took over the game, which sealed the win for the Clippers and helped end the team’s six-game losing streak. The win also moved the Clippers to 2-0 in the NBA Cup, and comfortably tied with the Lakers at 2-0 in the NBA Cup West group B.
Besides James Harden, another Clipper had a big game in the team’s win over Dallas. Bogdan Bogdanovic had a big night for the Clippers in helping the team get to 2-0 in the NBA Cup. Bogdanovic played 37 minutes on Friday, had 21 points and 4 steals while shooting 8-14 from the field.
Bogdanovic was also 5-8 from the three-point line. Bogdanovic’s ability to space the floor and knock down shots provides the spark the team has been looking for this season.
With the Clippers 2-0 in West Group B of the NBA Cup, they are in a good position to advance to the knockout stage alongside the Lakers, who are atop their group.
Point differential could be a factor in the upcoming matchup when both teams face off on Nov. 25.
