The NBA has unveiled its 2024-25 All-Defensive Teams, with Cleveland Cavaliers‘ forward Evan Mobley leading the First Team selections. Atlanta Hawks‘ guard Dyson Daniels emerged as a premier perimeter defender, leading the league with 3.0 steals per game and adding 0.7 blocks per game. His defensive instincts and ability to disrupt passing lanes were instrumental in elevating an otherwise mediocre Hawks’ defense. His steals per game is the 12th most all-time.

Oklahoma City Thunder’s Luguentz Dort earned his first All-Defensive Team nod, contributing 1.1 steals and 0.5 blocks per game. His tenacity and on-ball defense provided a significant boost to the Thunder’s perimeter defense.

Veteran Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors secured his fifth First Team All-Defense selection, averaging 1.5 steals and 1.0 block per game. His leadership and versatility were key components of the Warriors’ defensive schemes.

Houston Rockets’ Amen Thompson, in just his second NBA season, showcased remarkable defensive versatility, averaging 1.4 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. His ability to guard multiple positions contributed significantly to the Rockets’ defensive improvements.
