With a 6-18 start to the season, the Clippers are suddenly a rebuilding team rather than a play-in team right now.
Oklahoma City owns the Clippers’ next couple of draft picks for the next couple of years, too.
This season has truly been an abrupt fall for the 2025-26 Clippers.
The Clippers and Head Coach Ty Lue are going to keep trying their best to make sure whatever happens the rest of the season won’t end really badly for the organization.
As of right now, the Clippers sit at 14th in the Western Conference, only ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans.
With Chris Paul off the team and a season-ending injury to Bradley Beal, the Clippers will have to look at the young guys to bring up, like Kobe Sanders, Yanic Konan Niederhauser, and Kobe Brown.
The Clippers still have Kawhi Leonard, and though he is averaging 28.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game while playing just over 28 minutes per game, he has also been dealing with injuries too early in the season. With Harden also helping lead the way for the Clippers, the team really needs to rely on them if they want to make the play-in tournament at least.
Bogdanovic has also been dealing with an injury.
With the Clippers’ average age at 32.6, rebuilding should be the organization’s focus as it starts thinking about the post-Kawhi Leonard and Harden era.
