After getting blown out in the first game of the 2025-26 regular season in Utah, the LA Clippers won two games at home in the Intuit Dome in front of their home fans.
The Clippers have a lot of expectations this season, especially after all the offseason moves the team made. The Clippers took care of the Suns in the home opener, winning 129-102 on Friday night, and then fought hard for a close win against Portland, 114-107.
The Clippers, who got blown out on opening night in Utah last week, showed they will never give up and fight back, and that is what they have done in the last 2 games. This year, the Clippers will go out and fight, giving their all in each and every game until the final buzzer.
Ty Lue and the Clippers coaching staff are expecting big things from Ivica Zubac, John Collins, Kawhi, Harden, and Chris Paul to help the team get where they want to be.
One of the main reasons the Clippers were able to respond after the opening road loss was that the team played smart and limited turnovers. The Clippers also had big plays from Zubac and rookie Yanic Konan Niederhauser in the game against Phoenix and Portland. Ty Lue also saw vintage Chris Paul coming with the assists back on Friday’s win over the Suns.
Though the Clippers may be an older team and have some veterans, they also have a young core, which can help over the long course of the NBA season. The Clippers added many new players to the team, as well as bringing back Chris Paul.
Chris Paul, who is back with the Clippers, says he wants to enjoy every minute of what could be his last NBA season.
“I’m just saying all this stuff is part of my decision-making in my thought process.”
Chris Paul wants to win a championship, and winning one with the Clippers could be a dream come true.
