The Clippers have been on a roll lately, winning three out of four games. The team has been on fire, and now, with a fully healthy lineup, the Clippers are making noise in the Western Conference. Ty Lue has guided the team to a 14th winning season with a 43-32 record.
With the way the Clippers have been playing, TY Lue is already focused on getting his rotation set as the Clippers try to make a push for the play-in tournament and especially the playoffs. The most important thing Ty Lue needs to do is merge Harden and Kawhi Leonard. With Norman Powell, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Kris Dunn and Derrick Jones Jr. All of them will be used in some capacity for the Clippers if they want to make a run in the playoffs.
Clippers head coach Lue must evaluate which skill sets within the roster can be sent into games without becoming a liability. This means no room for error. As Ty Lue gears up for the play-in tournament and hopefully the first round, he must finalize soon which players out of Nicolas Batum, Ben Simmons, and Amir Coffey will be added to complete the rotation. Head coach Ty Lue will make the necessary adjustments to prepare the Clippers as they gear up for the postseason. Nicolas Batum is the clear choice of the three possible guys. He has been a stud on both ends, averaging 5.3 points and shooting 50.8% from three-point line. Batum’s game allows Lue to play him as a big when going small. This could put opponents in a conundrum, as he can stretch the floor, forcing defenses to clear the paint by respecting his jumper.
As the season wraps up the Clippers need to continue to gain momentum in the standings. Head Coach Ty Lue has proven for years that he has the team to make a deep run for the playoffs.
