Ben Simmons discussed his excitement at signing with the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday, saying he’s ready to play basketball at a high level.
“I feel great, ready to go. I just want to play basketball at a high level and I feel like that’s going to happen here,” said Simmons.
Simmons practiced with the Clippers for the first time since getting waived by the Nets over the weekend.
Simmons added that he wants to play point guard for the team.
“For me, that’s truly my position. I see the floor, I want to get my guys easy buckets and control the pace. On the defensive end, I want to be a dog, I want to be able to get stops and put pressure on the ball,” said Simmons.
Simmons averaged 6.2 points and 6.9 assists
