Triple-A Oklahoma City

The Comets defeated the Las Vegas Aviators (Athletics) 8-6. The Aviators scored the first five runs of the game against Comets starter Matt Sauer. The Comets came back with three runs in the bottom of the fifth, the key hits being a two-run single by Justin Dean, and a run scoring single by Alex Freeland.

The game turned in the top of the sixth, when Garrett McDaniels got out of a bases loaded jam by inducing an inning ending double play. The Comets turned that positive momentum into the lead with a four run burst in the bottom of the inning. Dean drove in a run with a bases loaded single, then James Outman cleared the bases with a double, giving the Comets a two-run lead.

Swan surrendered three hits, two walks, and had eight strikeouts. Brooks Auger relieved Swan and completed the game, giving up one run, and earning a four-inning save.

Mike Sirota was removed from the game for a pinch-runner after stealing a base in the sixth inning, walking off the field with a team trainer.

Low-A Rancho Cucamonga

After the Visalia Rawhide (Diamondbacks) sent the game into extra innings with single runs in the sixth, eighth, and ninth innings, the Quakes put an end to it with an eight-run 10th inning, resulting in a final score of 13-7.
