Following a powerful and emotional performance of the U.S. and Japanese national anthems at the 2025 MLB Opening Day in Tokyo, world-renowned composer, rock star, and philanthropist YOSHIKI teamed up with the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) to launch a fundraising initiative in support of wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles and Ofunato, Japan.
From April 14–28, fans had the exclusive opportunity to bid on framed, autographed, and MLB-authenticated sheet music from YOSHIKI’s historic performances — raising $41,000.

These one-of-a-kind items were autographed by YOSHIKI and Dodger pichers Roki Sasaki and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, bringing together the worlds of music and sport to inspire global generosity. Proceeds will directly benefit communities affected by devastating wildfires in both countries.
This auction is part of a larger efforts by Sasaki, who contributed 10 million yen in cash and 5 million yen in supplies to support his hometown of Ofunato, with the Dodgers matching his donation. To date, LADF’s wildfire relief efforts have distributed over 588,000 essential items to affected families, including clothing, meals, educational resources, and mental health support tools.
