World Series Champs: Celebration day

Celebrating a World Series title has been top of mind for Dodger fans for decades. The Dodgers finally had their moment with a parade in the city of Los Angeles on Friday after defeating the Yankees in five games in the 2024 World Series.

Fans filled Dodger Stadium and lined the streets of Downtown Los Angeles on Friday to commemorate the first World Series celebration since 1988. These are some of the best photos of it:

Ice Cube started the festivities at Dodger Stadium with a performance that captivated the crowd. He was joined by manager Dave Roberts.

Clayton Kershaw entered through the Center Field Plaza and was cheered on by fans.

Walker Buehler — who recorded the last three outs in Game 5 against the Yankees — wore Orel Hershiser’s jersey from the 1988 World Series.

This is the first World Series title for Anthony Banda and Shohei Ohtani.

Kershaw expressed his gratitude for his teammates and the indescribable feeling of celebrating the World Series championship at Dodger Stadium.

Teoscar Hernández carried a Dodgers flag to Left Field and celebrated with fans in the Left Field Pavilion.
