We’re starting a new feature at True Blue LA, asking one question of you, the readers, each day. The topics will vary, but the premise is the same: we would like to hear what you think about that day’s question, in the comments section below.
Today we’ll start off with a simple query, given that the 2025 spring training caps are out. You can see caps for all 30 teams at New Era, but here we’ll focus just on the Dodgers cap. This year the Dodgers are going with essentially the same design as last year, with a script D on the front, plus the league-standard spring training patch on the right side.

The Dodgers have used this script-D cap off and on during spring training, plus occasionally during the season as batting practice caps as well. Just to be sure though, I looked back at their spring training caps for the previous dozen years, and we have a few categories:
(click on each year to view the cap)
- Script-D: 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2024, 2025
- Blue “LA” with white piping on a blue hat: 2022, 2023
- White “LA” with a Dodgers baseball logo inside of it for some reason: 2020, 2021
- Mostly regular blue “LA” cap, but with a white brim: 2014, 2015
- Gray hat with blue brim: 2013
Today’s question for you, the reader, is which Dodgers spring training cap do you prefer?
