Tips to know for fans who plan to visit Los Angeles this season and want to enjoy the Dodgers but may not have a ticket to Dodger Stadium.
The third-oldest stadium in Major League Baseball, Dodger Stadium is home to some of the most iconic moments in baseball history. A grand cathedral for America’s Pastime, Dodger Stadium has provided cotton candy sunsets and mid-century modern charm since 1962.
Even without a game ticket for entry, you can still enjoy the Dodgers baseball experience at various locations in Los Angeles. Several bars and restaurants near Dodger Stadium offer a fun atmosphere for watching the game, and some even immerse you in Dodger-themed experiences including The Short Stop and Gold Room in Echo Park.
Multiple restaurants and bars near Chavez Ravine offer views of the city and a game-day experience. These L.A. spots are the perfect place to enjoy game day among other Dodgers fans near the stadium.
The free Dodger Stadium Express bus provides transportation from Union Station and other locations.

Personal favorite, Philippe cheesesteaks, definitely emits Dodgers aura. You do have to wait in line on a busy day, but the delicious cheesesteaks are worth it. A cardboard Brusdar Graterol greets you at the door. The Dodgers are clearly an inspiration for the iconic eatery.
There are plenty of non-cheesesteak options at Philippe’s as well including a good amount of gluten-free choices.

Surrounding areas in Los Angeles to bring the game with you
- The Beach
There’s nothing quite like the beauty of Dodger Stadium on a sunny summer day, but there’s plenty of beauty to be seen in the vicinity of Dodger Stadium. Santa Monica and other iconic beaches are great meet-up spots to spend with friends and family before, during, and after games.
I have plenty of memories of lying on the beach and listening to the Dodgers on my AM radio. Now, if you have Spectrum cable service, you can stream SportsNet LA on the Spectrum app. Yes, I’m one of those fans who prop up their phone to watch Dodger games at a restaurant.
When all else fails, and you don’t have a ticket
- At Home
When all else fails or you’re too lazy to battle the L.A. area freeways, you always have the option of watching the game from the comfort of your home on SportsNet LA. Where else do you have the total freedom to yell at the TV? Home is where you can eat a whole pint of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream during a 16-inning Dodgers game and not get judged.
