Although 32-year-old Dodgers right-hander Blake Snell needed 30 pitches to the four Seattle Mariners batters he faced in his 2025 Spring Training – and Dodgers – debut on Tuesday afternoon, 20 of those were strikes. The Seattle, WA native and first-round draft pick in 2011 by the Tampa Bay Rays out of Shorewood High School in Shoreline, WA allowed only one hit, a harmless two-out single to center by Mariners centerfielder Randy Arozarena, he struck out one of those four Seattle batters.

“I felt sharp, I felt good. Fastball was coming out good, that was really my main concern,” Snell told SportsNet LA’s Kirsten Watson following his first outing in a Dodgers uniform since being signed to a five-year/$182 million free agent contract this off-season. “I think right now at where I need to be,” he added.
In the words of Dodgers broadcaster Tim Neverett: “He looks really good in Dodger Blue, doesn’t he?”
Yes he does.
