This weekend the Dodgers will play just their second series against a National League West foe all season, playing the Diamondbacks for four games at Chase Field in Phoenix.
The other divisional series for the Dodgers this year was at home, a three-game sweep of the Rockies from April 14-16 in Los Angeles.
So as the Dodgers are starting their first divisional road series on Thursday night, today’s question is what is your favorite road stadium in the National League West?
I went to college at UCSD and lived in San Diego for 14 years, so most of my road experience within the division has been at Padres games, first at Qualcomm Stadium and then Petco Park, which I think is fantastic, both within and surrounding the stadium.
I’ve been to a handful of games in San Francisco, Colorado, and Arizona, and each have their own charms, maybe Arizona less so than the others. But as much as I’m not a fan of a domed stadium, being able to sit in air conditioning with triple-digit temperatures outside is a plus.
For reference, if you need, Michael Elizondo has written detailed stadium guides of each NL West road stop for the Dodgers:
The Dodgers next play in San Diego from June 9-11, next play in Denver from June 24-26, and next play in San Francisco from July 11-13. Let us know your favorite of these stadiums in the comments below.
