TORONTO — A major league season that started in Tokyo is coming to a close in Canada. Whether it ends Friday or Saturday night is up to the defending World Series champs.
After dropping two of the three games in Los Angeles, the Dodgers are trying to wake up their slumping offense and keep alive their bid for back-to-back titles with a Game 6 win on Halloween night.
The Toronto Blue Jays are trying to win their first World Series championship since they went back-to-back in 1992-93.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who has thrown complete-game gems in his past two starts, will start Game 6 for the Dodgers, while Toronto will turn to veteran right-hander Kevin Gausman. Both pitchers were strong in Game 2 in a Dodgers win that tied the series.
The Rogers Centre should be buzzing from the outset, with Canadians eager to celebrate and the Dodgers looking to spoil the party and force a winner-take-all Game 7 showdown on Saturday.
Take a look at some early images from the Rogers Centre. More will be added as the night progresses.
