
Nancy Bea Hefley died Saturday at age 89, and Shohei Ohtani pitched off of a mound for the first time in over a month.
Rest in Peace to longtime Dodgers organist Nancy Bea Hefley. Her son announced her death via his Facebook page, saying, “Nancy Bea is gone from us sad day for us good day for her and my dad.”

Nancy was the organist from 1988-2015, when she retired. Hefley was known for playing Master of the House from ‘Les Miserables’ for Orel Hershiser starts, among other jokingly appropriate songs. Nancy was one of only three organists for the Dodgers since 1971, including Helen Dell and Dieter Ruehle.

Shohei Ohtani has begun his throwing program, again. He has not thrown a bullpen since February 25th. Ohtani is still a ways a way from returning to the bump, and make his pitching debut for the Dodgers Jack Harris of the L.A. Times has more details here.
Sonia Chen also has it all covered for MLB.com. Ohtani threw 20 pitches on Saturday, a handful more than the 14 pitches he threw in Spring Training. Originally the team had penciled in Ohtani for a return some time in May, but no there is no exact timetable for Ohtani’s return.
