Kiké Hernández took to the streets of Alhambra on Monday as part of a promotional appearance at Raising Cane’s. Among the hullabaloo, the Dodgers utility man — who is now a free agent — talked to fans at the restaurant.
“The last couple days and weeks have been a dream. This is what we play for – to win the World Series!” said Hernández. “Getting to celebrate with a parade and seeing the city show up for us was amazing. I had a smile from ear to ear the entire time and that was just pure joy and happiness, not only for us but for the city and our fans, because they really deserved this. We’re just getting started and the team is going to be even better next year with more exciting times for LA to come. I love winning – that’s what we do!”
The folks at Dodger Blue were on hand on Monday.
Joe Kelly on his Baseball Isn’t Boring podcast with Rob Bradford said he has no plans to retire this offseason. There were other thoughts as well, such as how the World Series between the Dodgers and Yankees was a mismatch, which was the viral clip that made the rounds on Monday:

Circling back to Scott Hennessey, who was named manager of Triple-A Tulsa during the World Series, after managing in Double-A Tulsa since 2017, the Drillers said their new manager will be announced later in the offseason.
Hennessey went to the Texas League championship series for three straight seasons (2017-19), and won the league title in 2018. His 455 wins are the second-most in Tulsa franchise history.
“We are excited for Scott and his new opportunity in Triple A, but we will certainly miss him in Tulsa,” said Drillers’ vice president of media relations and baseball operations Brian Carroll in a statement. “Whether it was a big win or a difficult loss or a battle against cancer, Henny has been nothing but class during his years representing our team. We will miss him as our manager, but more importantly, we will miss him as a friend.”
