
Dodgers are 3-0 for the first time since 2016
The Dodgers took on the Tigers in their home opener on Thursday afternoon in Los Angeles. Blake Snell made his Dodgers debut on the mound, facing off against Detroit ace Tarik Skubal. It’s the 40th matchup between former Cy Young Award winners in the 64-year-history of Dodger Stadium.
Teoscar Hernández hit a three-run home run off Skubal that give the Dodgers the lead for good in the fifth inning, one of three home runs hit by Los Angeles in the win, along with Tommy Edman and Shohei Ohtani.
Snell had more walks than strikeouts but allowed only two runs in his five innings. Blake Treinen got the save, giving the Dodgers three different pitchers with saves during the first three games of the season.
The Dodgers are 3-0 for the first time since 2016.
