Dodgers broadcaster Joe Davis won the 2025 Sports Emmy for outstanding play-by-play personality on Tuesday night, for his national work on Fox calling MLB and NFL games. Other nominees in the category were Mike Breen, Ian Eagle, Noah Eagle, and Mike Tirico. This is only a short clip, but you can see how choked up Davis was at receiving the award.
“I honestly spent no time on a speech, because I genuinely thought I had to chance of winning,” Davis said. “I told a few people it’s an honor just to be on the list with these guys.”
