Global pop sensation JO1 was honored for their incredible generosity and commitment to making a difference in Los Angeles during Tuesday night’s Japanese Heritage Night celebration at Dodger Stadium.
The group presented a $50,000 check to the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) to support ongoing wildfire relief efforts and the Dodgers Dreamteam.
The donation from JO1 directly supports LADF’s initiatives to rebuild communities impacted by the Eaton and Palisades fires. LADF’s wildfire relief efforts have distributed over 588,000 essential items to affected families, including clothing, meals, educational resources and mental health support tools.
Looking ahead, the Dodgers Dreamteam program is set for its largest season yet, serving 15,000 youth across 122 sites.
Dodgers Dreamteam, an affiliate of Nike RBI, is a comprehensive sports-based youth development program that uses the power of sport to provide critical resources and services to communities experiencing social injustices.
Rooted in baseball and softball, LADF aims to significantly increase youth’s social and emotional skills, which promote positive mental health and skills to handle mental health risks. It also provides opportunities to build relationships with peers and positive role models, which can further impact their lives.
LADF also works with partners to deliver wraparound services that connect youth with resources and provide access to basic necessities that promote healthier life outcomes. LADF is passionate to help low-income communities with the understanding that they also have immediate needs in health and education.
The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation extends its heartfelt thanks to JO1 and all those who are helping create lasting impact for communities across Los Angeles. To learn more, visit Dodgers.com/LADF and join the conversation on Instagram, X, and Facebook.
