Freddie Freeman Embracing 2024 Dodgers World Series Celebration While Focusing On 2025

March 29, 2025 by Dodger Blue

The Los Angeles Dodgers capped off a memorable 2024 season by defeating the New York Yankees to capture their eighth World Series title in franchise history.

Freddie Freeman took home World Series MVP honors behind an historic performance despite playing through separate ankle and rib injuries.

While some players have shifted their focus to the 2025 season, Freeman is fine with looking back at what the Dodgers accomplished. “I think everyone is different,” Freeman began.

“I’m OK. I’m looking forward to the ring and ceremony in L.A. to be able to celebrate with the fans. They come out and spend their hard-earned money. You can still appreciate what we were able to accomplish last year and get ready for this year.

“I think we’re doing a really good job of that. I’m looking forward to 2025, but I can also appreciate what we did. I’m excited for the ring, excited for Opening Day in L.A. It’s going to be a great thing. For me, every single year is the same.

“I’m just trying to win a championship, so for me, it’s easy to focus on the now. But I can still appreciate last year.”

The Dodgers raised their 2024 World Series champions banner before facing the Detroit Tigers in their home opener on Thursday, and now have a ring ceremony scheduled for Friday.

Unlike when the Dodgers celebrated their 2020 World Series title with a limited capacity of fans in attendance in 2021, they are going to receive their rings in front of a sold-out crowd at Dodger Stadium this year.

Freddie Freeman: Dodgers not bad for baseball

Freeman became one of the latest members of the Dodgers organization to defend the team after another offseason spending spree.

“I’ve been told about the ruining baseball and all this. Like I’ve told you before, to be part of an organization that puts a contending team on the field year in and year out, and what I mean by that is fans are pouring their hard-earned money into us when they come to Dodger Stadium, and to see an organization put it back into the team, I think that’s why everyone is so happy,” Freeman said.

“There’s a buzz around here. There was a buzz last year when we got Shohei, and there is a major buzz here now. That’s a testament to our organization, our fans, our front office. Players want to come here. Mark Walter and the Dodgers organization, they’re putting $100 million in the community, they’re doing so much good stuff.

“I understand people can be mad at us, but when you’re here, they’re doing so much good work. To pour it back into the fans and put a product that people want to come out for six straight months, you never know what you’re going to see.

“To be able to give people memories as an organization, I think it’s pretty special to be part of.”
