The Winter Meetings are upon us, and the Los Angeles Dodgers have some holes they need to fill for next season. Some possible fits have been discussed. However, there is always room for more. The Dodgers are in the market for an outfielder, most specifically, a corner one. The Michael Conforto experience didn’t work. Here are five more options that could work.
Who Knows?
The Dodgers and the Houston Astros have a complicated relationship going back to 2017. However, sometimes necessity makes bygones be bygones. Jake Myers may be available. The outfielder was a pleasant surprise for the Astros the last few years with his offensive production and his solid defense. 2025 didn’t go as Myers would have liked. He missed two months with a calf strain. Unfortunately, his homers were down drastically as he hit only three. It wasn’t all bad. His batting average was 20 points hire than in his career. Myers wouldn’t be required to do the heavy lifting in the lineup, but he hits from the right side, and Los Angeles prefers a left-handed bat.
A Pair of Red Sox
The Boston Red Sox have one more outfielder than they need. As a result, either Jarren Duran or Wilyer Abeu are going to be in a different uniform next season. Abreu would be an ideal fit in the nine hole. He could provide length to an already long lineup. and could be effective in turning it over to get it back to Ohtani. He is left-handed with 20+ home runs, while hitting above .250 and an above-average glove. The Sox may prefer to keep Abreu rather than trade him.
Duran, on the other hand, has been rumored to be on the trade block since last season. Furthermore, last week, rumors started to surface that Duran is viewed as “a possible” fit for the Dodgers. The Southern California native bats from the left side of the plate have some pop with 16 homers. His speed would be an added bonus and dimension to the Los Angeles lineup which could use it.
The Dodgers are linked to the Red Sox as a “possible trade partner” for OF Jarren Duran, according to @PeteAbe.

Does A Redbird Turn Blue Again?
The St. Louis Cardinals are looking to trade and retool this offseason. Sonny Gray is now with the Red Sox, and Lars Nootbar and Brendan Donavan could be next. The Dodgers swung a deal for Tommy Edman in 2024, and he has made pivotal contributions that led to rings. Nootbar can play a great outfield wherever you put him. As for Donovan, he feels like a left-handed Tommy Edman clone who hits for a higher batting average. Oh, he can play second or third base t00. A lot can happen, but it feels like a perfect match.
This offseason is expected to be quieter than in years past for the Dodgers. The core of the World Series Champs is expected to remain intact. However, the Dodgers have made it clear that the hunt for the three-peat is on, and they are always looking to improve. Who will they choose to join the chase?
