The Dodgers were built to be one of the best offenses in baseball. They showed in a single inning just how deep the lineup can be.

Ten batters, seven baserunners and seven runs in the ninth inning brought the Dodgers a 9–2 win over the Braves on Sunday in Atlanta. One of the best closers in baseball had met his match.
Raisel Iglesias was named the National League Reliever of the Month in August after 11 scoreless outings and striking out 14 batters in 13 1/3 innings without issuing a walk.
The last earned run he surrendered was on June 16. Then the Dodgers introduced themselves in the ninth.
Tied at 2–2 with two outs, Mookie Betts’ single off Iglesias provided the go-ahead run. Freddie Freeman’s two-run single added insurance.
Teoscar Hernández followed up and admired his 29th home run fly to center field. The fourth hit and fifth earned run against Iglesias in the inning forced the Braves to signal to their bullpen for the next reliever.
The Dodgers weren’t finished just yet. Tommy Edman and Max Muncy hit consecutive home runs to further extend the lead.

It marked their 35th comeback win of the season.
Buehler’s Finding It
Since he returned from the injured list in mid-August, Walker Buehler has been searching for a dominant form that he established in past seasons. Some starts have been promising while others haven’t been.
Apart from two troublesome innings against the Braves on Sunday, Buehler showed that his former self may still be within reach.

Buehler bounced from a two-run third inning by retiring nine of the next 10 batters on 23 pitches with three strikeouts. He tossed six innings, allowing one earned run on three hits and five walks with five strikeouts.
He completed six innings for the third time this season while pitching a season-high 97 pitches (63 strikes).
Where They Stand
The Dodgers (87–61) maintained their lead of 3 ½ games over the San Diego Padres (85–65). The Dodgers close out the four-game series on Monday looking for a series split with Atlanta.
