The Los Angeles Dodgers face a 3-2 deficit in the 2025 World Series after falling to the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday night, so if they are going to repeat as World Series champions, they will need to win the next two games at Rogers Centre.
Whether the Dodges can pull off the comeback remains to be seen, but one thing for certain is that they won’t play at Dodger Stadium again until the 2026 season.
It also marked the final time Clayton Kershaw would be on the active roster for a game at Dodger Stadium as he announced his plans to retire at the end of year. Following the game, he bid farewell to his longtime home ballpark after Game 5 of the World Series.
Kershaw waved goodbye to Dodgers fans as they exited Dodger Stadium and spent a few moments with his family on the field.

Kershaw made his final start at Dodger Stadium on Sept. 19, when he held the San Francisco Giants to two runs in 4.1 innings of work.
The left-hander would make two more relief appearances at the ballpark during the postseason. The first came against the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 3 of the National League Division Series, when he allowed five runs (four earned) in two innings pitched.
Kershaw then had a signature moment in the 12th inning of Game 3 of the World Series when he got Nathan Lukes to ground out with the bases loaded to prevent the Blue Jays from taking the lead.

In 228 career regular-season starts at Dodger Stadium, Kershaw went 117-42 with a 2.26 ERA and 0.99 WHIP over 1,479.2 innings pitched. He recorded 1,651 strikeouts against 350 walks and held opponents to a .207 batting average.
Kershaw pitched nine shutouts at Dodger Stadium, including his no-hitter against the Colorado Rockies on June 18, 2014.
The future Hall of Famer struck out 15 batters in the start and allowed just one baserunner, which came on a throwing error by Hanley Ramírez to begin the seventh inning.
Kershaw also made his only All-Star Game start at Dodger Stadium in 2022, which saw him throw a scoreless first inning.
