Dodgers Take Over October, Head to World Series

October 21, 2025 by Los Angeles Sports Nation

After a long season and a dominant playoff run, the Los Angeles Dodgers are headed back to the World Series, proving why they’re one of the best teams in baseball.

From opening day to the final game of the NLCS, this team has played with focus and energy.

Every game felt like a step toward something bigger, and now they’ve made it.

Dominating the National League

The Dodgers didn’t just win the National League; they owned it. Their lineup stayed consistent all year. During the postseason, their starting pitchers were lights out, and the bullpen was there to support them.

When the playoffs started, this team took it up another level. They swept the NLCS and looked like a team that refused to lose. Watching them, it’s easy to see how much confidence they have in each other.

Shohei Ohtani’s Historic Run

Shohei Ohtani has been the biggest story this season. He hits home runs that look effortless and shuts down hitters on the mound. It’s rare to see a player do both so well. After a rough postseason for Ohtani, he ended up hitting 3 bombs during the last game of the NLCS while striking out 10 batters. He won the MVP for the NLCS and proved that he could get through any slump.

The rest of the team stepped up, every player ready when their number was called. That’s what makes this team so special and definitely dangerous.

A Complete Team Effort

The Dodgers’ offense is stacked from top to bottom. If one player has a bad night, someone else picks up the slack. They don’t rely on one star. Everyone contributes, and that’s why they’ve made it this far. The pitching staff has been solid, too. The starters throw strikes and set the tone early. The bullpen keeps control late in games. It’s a complete team effort.

Now comes the biggest test: the World Series. The Dodgers were here just last year, so they know what it takes. They’ve played under pressure all season, and they’ve handled it well. Each inning matters more now, but this team looks ready for it. You can feel the focus every time they take the field.

It’s been a long road to get here. There were injuries, slumps, and tough losses along the way. Still, the Dodgers never fell apart. They came together, worked harder, and kept winning. That’s what champions do. They don’t back down when things get tough.

Fans have been waiting all year for this moment. The energy around Los Angeles is huge right now. Everyone wants to see another championship. The players can feel that too. You can tell they want it just as much as the fans do.

The Dodgers have everything they need to win it all. They have power, depth, and experience. Most of all, they have the drive. This team doesn’t just play to compete, they play to finish what they started.

If they keep playing like they did in the NLCS, they will be hard to beat. The World Series is never easy, but the Dodgers are ready; they’ve shown it all season.

Now it’s time to prove it one more time.
