Finale of a 4-game series, and the 7th game between division rivals over an 11-day span
Playing one another seven times in 11 days is a lot of familiarity between division rivals, and the finale of this current Dodgers-Padres series comes on Thursday night at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
Monday got heated when Andy Pages was mad after getting hit by a pitch, and Padres manager Mike Shildt yelling from the dugout, “Who the f*** do you think you are?”
Tuesday saw both Fernando Tatis Jr. and Shohei Ohtani hit. Dave Roberts, who said he thought Ohtani getting hit was intentional, was ejected in the third inning for arguing when a warning was issued to both teams.
After testing the limits of its bullpen in the first three games of the series, the Dodgers send their best starter to the mound on Thursday, with Yoshinobu Yamamoto getting the ball in the series finale.
Rookie right-hander Ryan Bergert starts for the Padres, making his fourth major league start.
