It’s still hard to fathom that Justin Turner will no longer wear Dodger Blue after nine years but it’s the reality we now have to face.
But before he officially resides in Boston, JT has been finishing up some business in Los Angeles which included his recent 7th Annual Golf Classic.
Many former and current Dodgers showed up and showed out and Turner even took some time to answer questions about his time in LA and what the future looks like for him, even past playing in the major leagues:
As he was asked the question, he let out a short laugh. He’s well aware of what the people want and from what his answer was, it wasn’t a definite yes…but it also wasn’t a for sure no either.
Justin Turner became a fan favorite during his time in Los Angeles and will forever go down as one of the city’s greatest legends not only for his time playing with the Dodgers but also for what he gave back to the community in return for the love they constantly showed him.
This offseason, The Boston Red Sox signed the 2022 Roberto Clemente award winner and veteran infielder to a one-year contract for the 2023 season, with a player option for 2024.
With Turner’s recent move, the Red Sox now have three players from the Dodgers’ 2020 World Series winning team including utility man Kiké Hernández and closer Kenley Jansen. They also join former Dodgers Alex Verdugo and Chris Martin.
Goodluck in Boston, JT. We’ll miss you here in Los Angeles but we hope you’re keeping an open mind to that manager role one day…
