THE GAME: The Dodgers scored five times in the third inning and never looked back, beating the Cleveland Guardians, 11-3, on Tuesday afternoon at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Ariz. The Dodgers have outscored their first four opponents 34-6 while winning their first four Cactus League games.
PITCHING REPORT: Gavin Stone returned from shoulder surgery and pitched in a game for the first time since August 2024. Stone retired the side in order in the first inning, striking out two batters with his changeup. … Edgardo Henriquez gave up a three-run home run to Guardians infielder Travis Bazzana in the second inning. … Ryder Ryan retired the side in order in his inning, striking out two. … Dodgers pitchers allowed six hits Tuesday and just 15 over their past three games.
HITTING REPORT: Teoscar Hernandez was 2 for 2 and has started the spring 5 for 7. … Kyle Tucker walked twice in his second spring game. … Miguel Rojas celebrated his 37th birthday with a pair of singles. … After Tucker walked to start the third inning, Will Smith singled and Freddie Freeman drove in two runs with a double. After Hernandez singled, Andy Pages drove in another run with a single. Alex Freeland and Nick Senzel completed the big inning with sacrifice flies. … The Dodgers scored twice in the fifth inning. Josue De Paula’s single was followed by four consecutive walks with two outs. … That was the first of three hits for De Paula. He added an RBI double in the sixth and another single in the eighth.
