The Dodgers agreed to terms with 22 international amateur free agents, including four of the Top 100 prospects in the 2026 international free agent class. In total, the Dodgers signed seven pitchers, five catchers, five infielders and five outfielders to open the 2026 signing period.
Outfielder Rubel Arias leads the Dodger class as the №46 international prospect by Baseball America. Arias, who was signed out of the Dominican Republic, is a switch-hitter and has strong pitch recognition with a smooth stroke from both sides of the plate.
The Dodgers also added shortstop Ezequiel Melburne, who was ranked №67 prospect in the international class, according to Baseball America. Melburne impressed scouts with his smooth swing from both sides of the plate. The Dominican Republic native showed a knack for consistently hitting line drives, while also flashing some power at 16 years old.
Infielders Ariel Reynoso (№86) and Jose Victorino (№93) round out the quartet of top 100 international prospects for the Dodgers. Both have shown impressive offensive talent and the ability to play multiple positions.
The back-to-back World Series champions also signed Tom Apfelbaum out of Cologne, Germany, who is regarded as the best pitching prospect by international scouts out of Europe.
The 2026 Dodger international class is represented by nine countries, led by 11 players from Venezuela and four from the Dominican Republic.
