To little surprise, the Dodgers have bolstered their bullpen with a trade deadline acquisition. And they did so by adding a familiar face.
The Dodgers have brought back right-handed pitcher Brock Stewart in a deal with the Minnesota Twins. Outfielder James Outman goes to Minnesota.
Stewart was selected by the Dodgers in the sixth round of the 2014 MLB Draft and played with the club from 2016–2019 when they were developing him as a starting pitcher. The 33-year-old right-hander ranks 11th among qualified American League relief pitchers with a 2.38 ERA this season.

Stewart appeared in 39 games with the Twins in 2025 and has a 1.09 WHIP with 41 strikeouts to 11 walks in 34 innings.
Right-handed batters are 7-for-67 against him this year with a .104/.178/.149/.327 slash line.
Right-handed batters are hitting .252/.325/.408/.733 against Dodger relievers this season.
They hit .253/.353/.418/.771 against Dodger relievers in July.
Stewart ranks in the 90th percentile or better in the following categories this season:

Outman appeared in 22 games with the Dodgers this season and was 4-for-39 with two home runs. Outman, a Rookie of the Year finalist in 2023, appeared in 230 games over four seasons with the Dodgers. He batted .224/.330/.401/.730 with 30 home runs and 18 stolen bases.
