Dodgers acquire trio from Tampa, including 6-10 reliever Paul Gervase

The Dodgers have acquired three players ahead of the Major League Baseball trade deadline as part of a three-team deal on Thursday and have dealt catcher Hunter Feduccia.
Feduccia was blocked at catcher behind Will Smith and Dalton Rushing. He goes to Tampa Bay.
The Dodgers add Cincinnati’s now former №10 prospect in left-handed pitcher Adam Serwinowski (who the Rays received as part of the deal for veteran starting pitcher Zack Littell), 6-foot-10 inch right-handed pitcher Paul Gervase and catcher Ben Rortvedt, who has played parts of four Major League seasons and has a career .186 average and .541 OPS in 575 career plate appearances.
Gervase gives the Dodgers a relief pitching option as a 40-man roster player.
The 25-year-old made his Major League debut with the Rays on June 21. He has appeared in five big league games and has allowed three earned runs in 6 1/3 innings.
He has 63 strikeouts in 40 1/3 innings in Triple-A this season with a 3.12 ERA and 0.97 WHIP. He has averaged 14.7 strikeouts per nine innings in four Minor League seasons.
If he throws one pitch for the Dodgers, he will become the tallest player to appear in a game for the franchise. Pitcher Mark Hendrickson, at 6-foot-9, currently holds that distinction.
Hendrickson was acquired by the Dodgers in a trade with Tampa Bay in 2006.
Serwinowski has a 4.84 ERA in High-A ball this season. The 21-year-old starter has 92 strikeouts in 74 1/3 innings. He has 60 grades on the 20–80 scouting scale on MLB.com for his fastball and slider. MLB.com has already rated him as the Dodgers’ №13 prospect.
