The Dodgers added right-handers Edgardo Henriquez and Will Klein to the World Series roster ahead of Game 1 against the Blue Jays in Toronto.
This is Henriquez’s second postseason roster designation of the year. He allowed one earned run and issued two walks in the National League Wild Card Series.
Henriquez made 22 appearances for the Dodgers in 2025. He had a 2.37 ERA through 19 innings with 18 strikeouts.
Henriquez’s fastball velocity, which ranked in the 100th percentile at 101 mph, is an advantage for the Dodgers. His pitch mix was successful against right-handers, who he limited to a .260 slugging percentage in 50 at-bats.
“It’s velocity, it’s a slider, it’s a sinker. There’s a cut fastball in there,” said Dodger manager Dave Roberts. “So just something to continue to try to keep a couple of those right-hand hitters at bay.”
This is Henriquez’s second trip to the postseason. After he appeared in three games in 2024, he was part of every Dodger postseason roster through the World Series.
Henriquez didn’t allow an earned run through his first 12 appearances of the season. He recorded eight strikeouts in 12 innings pitched in that span.
Klein joins Henriquez as another right-hander in the bullpen. This is Klein’s first time being on a postseason roster.

“I like Will because it’s a plus fastball, it’s a good curveball, good slider,” Roberts said. “And it’s something that these guys haven’t seen.”
Klein finished the season strong when he was called up in September by the Dodgers. He recorded four scoreless outings while giving up only two hits. The right-hander struck six batters in 4 2/3 innings.
The 25-year-old pitcher was successful against left-handed batters this season. He limited them to a .171/.250/.229/.479 slash line with 14 strikeouts through 40 plate appearances.
The Dodgers acquired Klein via trade with the Mariners on June 2. Left-hander Joe Jacques was sent to Seattle as part of the deal.
Henriquez and Klein replace Ben Casparius and Alex Vesia on the roster.
Vesia, who is away from the team due to a deeply personal matter, will not be available to play in the World Series.
“It’s certainly on our hearts and we miss him, and we’ll be thinking about him, and certainly he’s a part of this,” said manager Dave Roberts.
“This is so much bigger than baseball. For us, it was doing whatever small part we could to just a hundred percent be supportive (of him and his family),” said President of Baseball Operations Andrew Friedman.
