The Angels are reportedly retaining Ray Montgomery as bench coach, filling out a key piece of new manager Ron Washington’s staff.
The Angels have not confirmed the hire, which was reported by Jon Morosi of MLB.com.
Montgomery was the Angels bench coach over the past three seasons, under Joe Maddon and Phil Nevin.
Montgomery would join pitching coach Barry Enright, bullpen coach Steve Karsay, hitting coach Johnny Washington, offensive coordinator Tim Laker, third base coach Eric Young Sr., first base coach Bo Porter and catching coach Jerry Narron.
The Angels have also not confirmed Karsay as the bullpen coach.
