Is this the game that can get the black-and-gold on track?
Lineups:
Looks like a 4-3-3 for the black-and-gold, Cristian Arango starts in place of Carlos Vela.

Spirits are flagging around LAFC, their star player is injured and seems to have one foot out the door, and the head coach is under fire. Time for the big rivalry game!
Yes, Saturday afternoon sees LAFC host the LA Galaxy, with both teams in tottering form of late but LAFC in particular in a bad way. Their seven-game winless run is worst in the team’s short history, and this team seems to find novel ways weekly to play pretty well and still manage to throw wins away, again and again. They did it last week against the Vancouver Whitecaps, and would you believe, the Whitecaps still fired their head coach this week?!
The Galaxy have been a much-improved team this year but they have lost their last two, including their other rivalry, 2-1 against the San Jose Earthquakes last time out. There has to be concern they are hitting a wall, but they’ve also been forced to chop and change their lineup all season and have come out relatively well in spite of that.
Carlos Vela (quad) is out for LAFC, as expected, along with Eddie Segura (knee), Kwadwo Opoku (knee), Erik Dueñas (knee), Julian Gaines (pelvic stress fracture) and Alvaro Quezada (chest). Mohamed Traore (knee) is questionable. Chicharito (calf) is listed as questionable for the Galaxy, but is not expected to be available for this game.
So will LAFC use this as their turning point of a poor season? Or will the Galaxy continue to put the hurt on them? Obviously this is a big game, let’s see what happens.
Odds:
According to our partners at DraftKings Sportsbook, as of Saturday morning, LAFC are (-160), Galaxy are (+370) and a draw is (+370), so the odds are favoring LAFC big time, once again, even amid their worst run of form ever. We’ll see!
How to Watch:
Saturday’s match between LAFC and the Galaxy will be televised nationally on Fox and Fox Deportes, which you can watch on Fubo TV. The broadcast is scheduled to start at 4 pm PT with kickoff to come at 4:08.
