No surprise, the attacker is doing work in Turkey.
We all know the departure of Diego Rossi several weeks back was certainly bittersweet from an LAFC perspective, but the outstanding servant for the club finally got his chance in Europe, with Turkish giant Fenerbahçe, so how’s he been doing?
Good news, he’s off to a very good start. In 10 games — eight starts — across all competitions, Rossi has two goals and four assists for Fener, so he’s both playing and finding regular contributions for his new club.
You can see the assists and goals in this compilation:

That final goal! Wowza, he never had a goal like that among his many goals for LAFC.
Rossi is tied for most goals scored in the Turkish Super Lig so far this season for Fenerbahçe, but that’s admittedly just two goals so far. It appears Vitor Pereira’s side is spreading the goals around, which Rossi has some familiarity with at LAFC. He’s also among the top 10 on the team in minutes played across all competitions, so he’s getting plenty of run, too.
Obviously we’ll have to await the official switch from Rossi’s current status from a loan to a permanent transfer to Fenerbahçe, but as long as they have the money and he keeps playing and contributing (which, we all know you never know) it looks like they like the Uruguayan and at the very least, he’s showing he can get the job done in Europe. If the planned transfer doesn’t go through, he’s building a case for other teams in the future.
But it’s a good start for Diego Rossi so far, and hopefully the LAFC product continues to thrive in his new surroundings.
