Can Galaxy take a rare win in Big D?
The LA Galaxy’s road swing continues on Saturday, when they’ll face FC Dallas for the teams’ second meeting of the season.
In the last matchup, just a few weeks back, LA beat Dallas 3-1 and the game wasn’t even that close. Dallas have been terrible this season, losing all of their road games and sitting in last place in the Western Conference.
But! FCD are unbeaten at home so far this season, although five of their seven games have been draws, so they are there for the taking. Still, for a Galaxy side that remains shorthanded, they can’t necessarily waltz in and expect to grab an easy three points.
Sebastian Lletget, Jonathan dos Santos, Efrain Alvarez, Giancarlo Gonzalez and Oniel Fisher remain on international duty, while Sega Coulibaly and Chicharito remain out injured for this game. For Dallas, Bryan Acosta (international duty) is out, as is Matt Hedges (hip), Jose Martinez (thigh), Beni Redzic (ankle) and Kyle Zobeck (quad).
So, I think this is a game for the taking, but the Galaxy do have to take it. Can they? This should be a great test for the squad’s depth on the road.
Odds:
According to our friends at DraftKings Sportsbook, as of Friday afternoon, LA are (+235), Dallas are (+105) and a draw is at (+290). So the Galaxy are narrow underdogs on the road this time around, again.
How to Watch:
Saturday’s match between LA and RSL will be televised locally on Spectrum SportsNet and streamed in the rest of the United States on ESPN+. The TV broadcast is scheduled to start at 5:30 pm PT with kickoff to follow at 5:38 pm.
