It’s been a wild news day on Monday, as Von Miller and Peterson have joined Week 9’s Sunday Night Football game
When Monday morning started, we expected the LA Rams to be facing Derrick Henry’s Tennessee Titans this coming Sunday night. By Monday afternoon, we’ve learned that not only will Henry be placed on injured reserve with a broken foot, but that both Von Miller and Adrian Peterson will be added to the Rams and Titans rosters this week, respectively.
That sure does change some of the big names to be participating this Sunday night.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Titans are expected to sign Adrian Peterson to the practice squad, elevating him to the active roster shortly afterwards. There should be no reason for that to not happen prior to Sunday, unless Peterson needs additional time to shake off rust, but that would be somewhat surprising given his experience and the ability to step into a running back role.

The Rams, meanwhile, have added Miller to the defense and are expected to subtract DeSean Jackson from the offense any minute now. That’s a lot of change for a Monday but the Rams have never feared mixing up the roster midseason under Les Snead and Sean McVay.
