LA will likely release DeSean Jackson by the end of the day if the team is unable to move him via trade.
The NFL trade deadline is at 1:00pm PT time today, November 2nd. As it currently stands, the Los Angeles Rams seem unlikely to find a trade partner for veteran deep threat DeSean Jackson and are expected to release the receiver by the end of the day — according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
Per @MikeGarafolo on NFLN just now:
Doesn’t sound like DeSean Jackson will find a trade partner, but he’s expected to be released by the end of the day if no trade partner is found.

Jackson was ruled out for the Rams’ Week 8 contest against the Houston Texans after the veteran and the team agreed to mutually seek a trade partner. The fraying relationship seems to be the result of a lack of playing time and opportunities on offense for Jackson. The receiver has an incentive-laden contract, and watching games as a bystander on the sidelines makes it difficult to meet the criteria for those incentives.

Even with limited opportunities, Jackson has still created explosive plays for LA’s offense – he and quarterback Matthew Stafford have also left a few open opportunities on the field as well.
The deep threat has recorded 8 receptions for 221 yards (27.6 average) and a touchdown through 7 games, which makes the lack of trade interest in the veteran a bit curious. It seems evident that Jackson still has a fair amount of his high-end speed left in the tank and could potentially help a playoff contender.
The Rams seem committed to moving on from Jackson whether that is via trade or release, which may make trading him that much harder. LA could use all the draft capital it can get after sending two 2022 picks to the Denver Broncos in exchange for OLB Von Miller.
