Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris is more than just a good coach, he’s truly a hero.
While at the Encore Las Vegas a few weeks ago, Morris witnessed a young boy drowning in the hotel pool. He immediately rushed over to the scene in search of an automatic external defibrillator.
“I saw people calling 911 so my first question was, where is the AED?” Morris told ESPN. “When I got back, we had a doctor on site that was able to start the compressions. I was able to hand the AED to him, get it open for him, put the pads on the child, and he ended up being OK.”
Morris, the pool lifeguard and a nearby doctor ultimately saved the 3-year-old boy’s life.
On Friday, Morris spoke to Matt Gutman of “Good Morning America” about this story. The family of the young boy was also on this Friday’s show.
“We are truly so happy that Raheem was there and Dr. Andrew was there. It was truly a miracle. God placed them all directly where they needed to be,” the family said.
