J.K. Dobbins rushed for a career-high 905 yards and nine touchdowns for the Chargers in 2024.
The Chargers will face former starting running back J.K. Dobbins twice during the 2025 season after the 26-year old signed a one-year, $5.25 million deal to join the Denver Broncos.
Dobbins played in 13 games during the 2024 season for the Bolts, missing four to injury. He still ended up rushing for 905 yards and nine touchdowns, both of which were new career highs.

Dobbins now joins a Broncos backfield that features 2025 draft pick RJ Harvey out of Central Florida, along with fellow youngsters Audric Estime and Jaleel McLaughlin. After another season where Dobbins was unable to stay healthy for every game, this opportunities bodes well for Dobbins as a member of what is expected to be a committee approach in Denver.
Thanks to the UFA tag placed on Dobbins earlier this offseason, the Chargers could also be in line to earn another compensatory pick for “losing” a compensatory free agent.
