Keenan Allen was absent against the Raiders and could miss his second consecutive game with a heel injury.
The Chargers faced the Raiders this past Thursday night without their top wideout in Keenan Allen. With one practice down, the Chargers may once again be without Allen this week as the veteran was a non-participant on Tuesday due to a nagging heel injury.
In all, Allen was one of nine players on the Tuesday injury report. Cornerback Deane Leonard and edge rusher Khalil Mack were also listed as DNP on Tuesday, with the latter taking a veteran’s rest day.
Cornerback Essang Bassey, linebackers Tanner Muse and Amen Ogbongbemiga, offensive tackle Trey Pipkins, and defensive tackle Nick Williams were all listed as limited.
Bassey played more of a prominent role the past few weeks while the team attempted to find a combination that worked in the secondary. Both Muse and Ogbongbemiga are core special teamers and their potential absence could cause issues in the third phase of the game.
Williams, one of the team’s main rotational players along the interior of the defense, was a swift inactive before Thursday night due to an injury he sustained just a day before their matchup with the Raiders.
