Khalil Mack was a full participant in Thursday’s practice after missing Wednesday with a veteran’s rest day.
The second injury report of Week 13 for the Chargers has dropped and it’s only slightly better than Wednesday’s report where all six players included were non-participants.
Thursday’s report lists the same six names but two saw improvements in their status. Edge rusher Khalil Mack returned to practice and was a full participant after getting a veteran’s day off. He seems to be progressing very well from a groin injury that has kept him out of the majority of the last three games.
Lastly, tight end Will Dissly (groin) improved to a limited participant after surprisingly popping up on the report to begin the week.
Safety Alohi Gilman (hamstring) did not progress at all and it’s no surprise then that the Chargers claimed safety Marcus Maye off waivers to help reinforce the secondary earlier this week. Don’t be surprised to see Maye elevated this week to play a depth role alongside veteran Tony Jefferson who was recently signed to the active roster, as well.
