The Chargers will officially end their preseason schedule tomorrow with their exhibition against the Seahawks in Seattle. Even more so than the first two games, expect very few little to no starters to participate.
If that’s the case, the rest of the hopefuls will be on full display for the coaching staff.
Among the players that I consider to be on the bubble heading into Saturday’s game, I believe defensive linemen Forrest Merrill and Willie Yarbary both have legitimate shots of making this team with one of the final few spots should they continue to pop in their limited snaps.
It sounds kind’ve crazy to be honest, but this team needs disruptors up front. It shouldn’t matter who it comes from as long as it’s happening. Both Merrill and Yarbary got into the backfield against the Niners and left their mark on that game. If they can do it again, I expect one of them to surprise and land on the initial 53.
Let’s flip this over to you. Which players do you believe need to step up against the Seahawks in hopes of making the final roster? Don’t forget to let us know why!
