Easton Stick and the Chargers will have to go another week without Keenan Allen, the team’s top wideout.
The Chargers have five total inactives for tonight’s game against the Bills.
Right off the bat, wide receiver Keenan Allen will miss his second consecutive game with a heel injury. After such a successful season individually, it’s been tough to watch him sit for multiple games with career highs in receiving yards and touchdowns just within his grasp.
Rookie quarterback Max Duggan is inactive tonight but he’ll still serve as the team’s emergency quarterback behind Stick and newly-signed Will Grier.
The other three inactives include safety JT Woods, cornerback Deane Leonard, and tight end Donald Parham. Woods has been inactive or off the field for most of the season due to non-football related injuries/issues. Leonard is also dealing with a heel injury that’s sidelined him for a number of weeks.
Lastly, Parham was not included on the injury report this week yet has wound up on the inactive list tonight. Is there a chance he was one of “Staley’s guys” that the team isn’t leaning towards anymore? Is there a behind-the-scenes issue?
I guess only time will tell!
