This week’s final injury report was refreshingly short for Chargers fans.
On Friday following the team’s final practice before taking off for Landover, Maryland, the Chargers put out their last injury report for the week and this one is refreshingly scant of names.
As things stand, running back Austin Ekeler is questionable and recently-signed safety Trey Marshall is out as he continues to rehab from a lower-body injury he sustained in the Broncos’ first preseason contest early last month.
It should also be noted that starting right tackle Bryan Bulaga has been taken off the list after putting together three full practices despite working through a noted groin injury (hip flexor). He’s on track to start Sunday with the rest of the front five.
Fullback Gabe Nabers was also listed on the injury report through Wednesday and Thursday’s practices but all signs point to him being 100 percent available on Sunday, as well.
Ekeler’s questionable designation is likely just the team exercising a ton of caution. They needed to “get the horses to the derby” as Renaldo Hill put it earlier this offseason and holding Ekeler out for two days may have been their way of getting that job done.
Full-steam ahead for Washington!
