UCLA will be without one of its top players for tonight’s Sweet 16 matchup with Gonzaga.
Big man Adem Bona, who injured his left shoulder in the Pac-12 Tournament, is not dressed and will not play for the Bruins against the Zags.
Bona, the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, missed two games after injuring his shoulder in the conference tournament semifinals against Oregon.
He returned to play in UCLA’s NCAA Tournament second round win over Northwestern, but appeared to reaggravate the issue on a dunk in the second half.
The Bruins are already without guard Jaylen Clark, the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year, who suffered a season-ending leg injury on March 4.

The 6-foot-10 Bona is averaging 7.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game for the Bruins this season.
In a rare bit of positive injury news for UCLA, guard David Singleton is in the starting lineup after hurting his ankle late in the win over Northwestern. He’ll be joined by Tyger Campbell, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kenneth Nwuba and Amari Bailey.
You can catch UCLA-Gonzaga coming up on CBS. The winner will face UConn on Saturday for the right to go to the Final Four.
