Through four seasons and two teams together, Russell Westbrook and James Harden have developed a meaningful relationship both on and off the court. And for The Beard’s 32nd birthday on Thursday, Brodie came through with a pretty incredible token of that friendship.
Taking to Instagram earlier today, Harden showed off his new Richard Millie watch courtesy of his former Oklahoma City/Houston teammate.
“This s— go forever with me no [hat emoji] I appreciate you,” the Brooklyn Nets superstar wrote.

Both beginning their careers in Oklahoma City, the pair spent three seasons together with the Thunder before Harden left to join the Rockets in 2012. The superstar shooting guard was rejoined by his backcourt partner when Westbrook was trade to Houston in 2019. In 2020, they parted ways yet again — Westbrook traded to Washington prior to the season and Harden heading to Brooklyn soon after.
This past season, Westbrook averaged 22.2 points, 11.5 rebounds and a league-leading 11.7 assists per game with the Wizards en route to an NBA record 184 career triple-doubles. Harden averaged 24.6 points, 10.9 assists and 8.5 rebounds per game in his first year with the Nets.
Now, Westbrook is teaming up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis on a stacked Los Angeles Lakers roster.
While they may no longer be teammates, this former dynamic PG/SG duo could easily be reunited in an NBA Finals matchup this coming season.
