The Los Angeles Lakers waived forward Arthur Kaluma. The Lakers filled their roster opening by signing guard Jarron Cumberland.
Kaluma was signed to a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contract. He’s expected to play for the South Bay Lakers of the G League.
Cumberland is likely being signed to an Exhibit 10 contract. He’s also expected to join South Bay after the preseason. In 38 G League games with the Delaware Blue Coats last season, Cumberland averaged 15.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game. The 6-foot-5 guard put up shooting splits of 46/43/81 last season.
