At least one more big man is getting a look in the preseason.
A few days after signing Harry Giles to compete for a frontcourt spot in training camp, the Clippers are taking another flier on some frontcourt depth. Per Keith Smith, the team is also bringing in Moses Wright on an Exhibit 10 contract, bringing the total number of players on the training camp roster to 18.
The LA Clippers have signed Moses Wright to a non-guaranteed, Exhibit 10 contract, a league source tells @spotrac.
The 6’9” big man went undrafted out of Georgia Tech at the 2021 NBA Draft and played Summer League with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Wright will turn 23 years old in December, making him only eight months younger than Giles despite Giles having already been in the NBA for four seasons. Wright is also an ACC product who spent the last four years at Georgia Tech. The 6’9 big averaged 17.4 points and 8.0 rebounds per game as a senior, steadily improving his averages each season throughout his collegiate career. He was the ACC Player of the Year in 2020-21.
After going undrafted, Wright played for the New Orleans Pelicans in Summer League. He averaged 7.2 points and 4.4 rebounds in 16.5 minutes per game.
Wright isn’t the only frontcourt player the Clippers have expressed interest in so far this offseason. Last month, it was reported that the Clippers were looking into Isaiah Hartenstein, who played 46 games between the Nuggets and the Cavaliers last season. Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported Wednesday that the Clippers remain in the mix for Hartenstein, despite the Portland Trail Blazers also having interest. It’s worth noting that the Blazers were also linked to Patrick Patterson, who they just inked to a training camp deal. Scotto also noted that the Clippers had previously expressed interest in Alize Johnson; Johnson signed with the Bulls this week.
